Day 1 (Dec 29): Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Valley

Your holiday adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We journey southward across the dramatic High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 meters elevation), offering breathtaking vistas of mountain peaks and traditional earthen Berber villages.

We stop to explore the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage ksar famous as the filming location for Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Lawrence of Arabia. After enjoying a delicious lunch overlooking the kasbah, we continue through Ouarzazate and the picturesque Valley of the Roses into the Dades Valley.

Day 2 (Dec 30): Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Luxury Desert Camp

Following lunch near the gorges, we head across the desert plains to Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise on the horizon. Mount your camel for a scenic sunset trek into the dunes as twilight blankets the desert. Welcome the first morning of the New Year with an optional early morning walk up the high dunes to witness a glorious New Year's Day sunrise over the Sahara.

After a celebratory breakfast at camp, we travel to the historic trading city of Rissani to visit its authentic traditional souks and date market. We then travel along the lush, palm-filled Draa Valley, Morocco's longest palm grove, stopping for photos and lunch along the route before arriving in Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa."

Day 5 (Jan 2): Ouarzazate - Atlas Film Studios - Marrakech
